I have four amazing kids. 
They are my pride and joy, my reminder of God's grace, and the constant crazy in my life. 
I wouldn't trade them for the world! 
You see, as parents, we all know that there are specific times 
and ways to get our children's attention. 

No, not by calling their names repeatedly. Not placing a warm, nutritious meal on the table. 
Not by snapping my fingers or clapping my hands at them. 
Jumping up and down on one leg, doing flips with flaming torches and firecrackers going off.
No, these are the inconvenient ways. 
The times when you don't really want to get their attention. 
I have a short list of these that I have thought about for a while. 

These are the #FastestWaystoGetMyKidsAttention. 
They are in no particular order but all are extremely effective.
1. Turn on the shower.
     It never fails. The second that shower head starts spraying nice warm water and I am about to step in the shower..."MOMMY!!!!!" 

2. Sit down to go to the bathroom
    Moms know...the surefire way to get all three of my older kids (the youngest can't walk...yet), is to sit down to take care of business. I will have all of them in my bathroom in a matter of seconds asking for snacks and tattling on the others. 

3. Open a candy wrapper or other snack in the other room.
     "Mommy what are you eating?" 
     "Nothing."

4. Answer an important phone call.
    This is why I shut and lock my bedroom door, then walk in to the bathroom as I am telling the person on the other end, "I am so sorry! Let me get to a quieter place." 
(Those don't exist in my house.)

5. Try to have a conversation with another adult.
    We started that whole put your hand on my arm or hold my hand and wait for me to acknowledge you. The problem is my middle two come do that, and then proceed to swing on my arm and pull it like I am a super stretch doll...ineffective.

I love my kids. Each one is a special gift from God. They make life interesting.

First off, sorry for the absence for a week. We, like many, have been dealing with the flu!  I was down y'all.  I am never down, and I was down to the point of my husband  taking time off work to care for our kiddos, because I could not, down.  So I obviously was not up to writing.  Here I am again.  Humbly submitting what God has been teaching me over this time. Nothing to Write About

It has been a few days since my last post. I wish I could tell you I have something amazing to bring you today, however, I just do not have anything amazingly spiritual or super deep to talk about today. Today I am exhausted! We had an incredible weekend.  Friday, I spent most of the day cleaning and preparing for my newly five year old's birthday party.  He wanted a PJ Masks party, and I wanted to give it to him.  So I spent the day finishing cleaning, baking a very green Gecko cake, and decorating.  Thankfully we had some very good friends staying with us,  and my hubby and I were very thankful for all of our friend's help! Saturday, we went to Winter Jam in Tampa, with our youth group.  This was an all day affair to wait in line to get good seats, and yes we did have good seats.  My parents drove in late Friday night to take care of our four crazies all day Saturday.
